S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Tregear

Yesterday I received the rest of my June pre-orders, via FedEx & DSL. It was a total of 5 figures. This is Figuarts' Ultraman Tregear. Tregear was the main villain in the Ultraman Taiga series. Tamashii Nations brought him to life in a very nicely detailed and painted figure. I love the blue and black color combo, with gold highlight here and there. I also like his sinister face with red eyes and the top of his head a lighter shade of blue. He comes with 5 pairs of hands (fists, pointing, relaxed, open flat and neutral flat), an additional pair that have his energy attack effects, and an Ultra ray for the standard Ultraman Taiga figure. Both his effects and the Ultra ray are a nice translucent with colored highlights. And each set of hands have gold pointed claws. His articulation is kind of hit and miss. While he sports all the ball joints and hinges that are standards in Ultra figures, certain body parts have limited range. His

S.H. MonsterArts Burning Godzilla 2019

Today I received my Burning Godzilla 2019 in the mail via FedEx. I'm going to be getting quite a bit of figures in the coming days (3 scheduled for Monday, 2 more scheduled by the end of next week), as a lot of my pre-orders have now been released in Japan. I'll have a lot of new import figures to dabble with, nice. The Covid thing has delayed many releases, and since the Japan Post is still restricting shipments to the U.S., certain sellers are waiting until the restriction is lifted. I'm lucky in that the place I ordered mine from offered upgrades to FedEx/DSL free of charge. Anyway, back to the flame broiled Gojira. This is basically the same mold as their standard 2019 Godzilla, and since I really liked that one, I went ahead and pre-ordered this one. Now that I have it in hand, it's just ok. I don't hate it, but I'm not completely wowed by it either. The paint job is the obvious big difference, but he seems to have too much yellow.

McFarlane Toys Mortal Kombat Johnny Cage

I picked up this guy from Walgreens the other day, none other than Johnny Cage from the Mortal Kombat game. I had seen a few reviews on YouTube, he seemed pretty cool. so here he is. Johnny doesn't come with much accessories; only a pair of sunglasses, a trophy, a small statue of him doing his split kick, and a stand. However, the figure itself is quite colorful, with a shiny blue and purple jacket that pops, high top tennis shoes, blue shin guards, and black pants with white stripes. At the front of his jacket there's even a pattern that resembles a zipper, and his initials on the left hand corner. His silver belt with the name CAGE on his waist, and his name tattooed across his bare chest in silver letters. The back of his jacket has a cool design with shades and bandana'd head. His trophy is gold and his small figure looks buff in an action pose. His stand has one peg where you can put his foot onto. As for his purple sunglasses, the dark lens
