I recently purchased the S.H. Monsterarts / Chokogin Ohrai Noriyoshi Mechagodzilla. I had always liked this figure, but was wary due to several reviews I read about the challenges of assembling it. Now that I own it, I can say that it wasn't as bad as I had imagined. You will need to take your time to assemble the 3 pieces to form Mechagodzilla, and there are certain details that the instructions don't specify. Luckily, there's always YouTube videos, and I found Diego Doom's video very helpful in helping get past a block I was having. If you have time, check out his videos on YouTube. He's one of the best figure reviewers out there.
There's quite a lot of nice details to this figure. He's mostly made of die-cast parts, with some vinyl / plastic, so be careful when handling the plastic pieces.
Once he's put together, he looks great. There's articulation in the head, mouth, arms, elbows, hips, knees, feet and some in the tail. The articulation in the waist area no longer turns once he's fully assembled, but it's not that big of an issue. The paint applications are very nice. He's heavier than most figures due to the die-cast parts.
The only piece that is really a challenge are the small pieces on the feet that can pop off easily. They don't grasp on too well on the feet, so be careful not to lose them when they fall off.
It's a fun figure if you're patient and don't mind taking your time to assemble / disasemble him. I can say that I'm pleased with it, much more than I anticipated. I love this Mechagodzilla design, so much nicer than what we got in the acual movie. I was never a big fan of the Heisei Mechagodzilla design from the film, all other versions of MechaG I've loved (well, except for the anime, which never actually appeared in the film). This one is very nice. I recommend it if you're a big Mechagodzilla fan!
