Maevel Legends Squirrel Girl scooter set.

From Marvel Legends comes the infamous, unstoppable Squirrel Girl. She's most famous for beating Doctor Doom with her army of squirrels. She's also defeated Thanos, Wolverine, Deadpool, Ego the Planet and several others. She was recently released in a new set. The set comes with Squirrel Girl, 3 different squirrels (one regular,  one with pink bow and one eating a nut), a blue motor scooter with basket, and a little horn that can be placed on the scooter. The squirrels are all solid pieces, and the horn, though cute, fits a bit loose on the bike handle. As for Squirrel Girl, she looks very cool with her pixie haircut, animal ears, grey jacket, boots and big, puffy squirrel tail. As for articulation, her head is on a ball joint with neck hinge so she can look side to side, tilt side to side, up a bit and down quite far. Her knees are double jointed, and while her elbows are not, they still have a good range, as well as swivel.

Jazwares Fortnite Legendary Series Peely

After weeks of searching, I finally found the Jazwares Legendary Series Peely figure. I'm a fan of the Legendary Series line, so when I saw that they were releasing Peely, I had to get him, even though I already own the McFarlane version. This Peely comes with 3 face plates (winking, eyes closed smiling and eyes wide serious). He comes with 2 rifles, his harvesting tool which is a machete in a coconut, a power up mushroom and a backpack with bananas that serves as his back bling and pegs into his back. All the accessories are nice, though there are some issues. His serious face plate doesn't stay on too well. In order to clip it in securely, you need to press the top end in, but that causes the bottom half to have a significant gap. You can press the bottom in and reduce the gap, but that causes the top half to not clip in securely and the entire face to fall off easily. The other 2 plates don't have this issue. The other iss

Sometimes it pays to pass on a figure that doesn't WOW you....

Sometimes choosing to pass on a figure pays off. When SHF announced several of their Avengers Infinity War figures, I was somewhat interested in their Captain America. But the face looked off, and from what I could tell, none the promotional photos showed his Wakanda shields. So I waited. Then the figure came out, and when the reviews dropped, my decision was made. A big, resounding HELL NO! The figure looked AWFUL, with a very bad face sculpt and no Wakanda shields. I had always wanted a Captain America figure from Infinity War, but no one seemed to make a decent looking one. Well, Mafex has just announced theirs that is due in October, and it's AWESOME! It includes both Wakanda shields, a great looking face sculpt and alternate head sculpt with angry/fighting expression. It even comes with the spear, which looks much more detailed than what SHF gave us. I just pre-ordered it. Can't wait to finally have a decent Infinity War Cap.
