Happy Halloween stop motion.

Here's a stop motion short I did just for Halloween.  Hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween.

Creepy Talk Radio

Back in the late 90's, I discovered the radio DJ Art Bell after a co-worker told me about his show on various AM stations. At the time he was hosting Coast To Coast AM, a paranormal themed radio program where he discussed various topics such as UFO's, aliens, ghosts, cryptids like Mothman, witchcraft, psychic abilities, etc., as well as interviewing special guests such as paranormal investigators, scientists, authors, etc. I used to love staying up late and listening to his shows, though sometimes I found them particularly creepy (such as the ones where he played alleged EVP's). Every Halloween he would host a special program called Ghost To Ghost, where he would have listeners call in and tell their spooky ghost stories. He eventually left Coast To Coast but came back to host various other programs where he talked about the same subject matter, two in particular called Dark Matter and Midnight In The Desert. Art passed away in 2018, but left a wonderful legacy and thousa

S.H. Figuarts Sailor Mercury Animation Color Edition

My first October pre-order has arrived, and it is none other than Sailor Mercury from Tamashii Nations. They released special animation color versions of various Sailor Moon characters, and since they were cheap (e.g. not web exclusives), I went ahead and picked up Miss Mercury. The first thing I noticed about Sailor Mercury is that, despite her small feet and coming with a stand (like all the Sailor Moon characters), I was able to get her to stand relatively well on her own. You just need to position the feet at certain angles, but it can be done. I also own Nise Sailor Moon, and that one was a bit harder to stand without support. Mercury comes dressed in a white sailor outfit, with blue skirt, blue collar, light blue bows on her chest and back, blue boots with white trim and white gloves with blue trim, and her short, pixie like blue hair. For the most part, the paint and details are clean, although she did have a little bit of blue paint bleed on her right shoulder. It's more no

Even More Old Horror Favorites for Halloween

With just a few days left until Halloween, here are some more old horror films you might want to check out. 'Tis the season to be spooky. THE PROWLER This underrated slasher from the 80's is about a WWII vet who gets revenge on his girlfriend who broke up with him by murdering her and her new guy. 35 years later, a graduation ball is being held at the same location, for the first time since the murders. The mysterious killer returns, slaughtering a new set of teens. This movie boasts some pretty graphic kills.  The Prowler THE HIDEOUS SUN DEMON This old 50's monster flick is about a scientist who accidentally gets exposed to radiation while doing an experiment. Now, every time he gets exposed to the sun, he transforms into a scaly, murderous monster. This flick is fun and the creature looks cool. One of my favorite 50's monster flicks. Hideous Sun Demon MAUSOLEUM Fun 80's flick about a woman who's the victim of demonic possession. The kills are fun and bloody, t

Godzilla Singular Point Trailer

The trailer for the new Godzilla anime has dropped. It looks to feature lots of monsters, and some wild re-designs. I'm looking forward to it. I didn't really care for the Netflix trilogy, so I'm hopeful this will be more engaging and feature an equal amount of monster action mixed with likeable human characters and an interesting story. I'm excited for its release. Click on link for the trailer. Godzilla Singular Point

More Old Horror Favorites for Halloween

Here's another list of some more old horror and monster flicks that I enjoy, with links. CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD You can't make a list of horror films without including at least one from the "Godfather of Gore", Lucio Fulci. This one is about a priest that hangs himself and unleashes undead hell upon a small town. It includes such infamous scenes as a woman vomiting her own intestines and a guy getting a drill through his head. City is one of Fulci's best! City of the Living Dead TORMENTED This black and white flick from 1960 is about a jazz pianist who's ex girlfriend is threatening to ruin his newfound happiness with his new girl by blackmailing him. While on a lighthouse at night, she accidentally falls and he refuses to help her, causing her to plunge to her death into the sea. Now, her ghost is hell-bent on tormenting him and getting her revenge. This one is a lot of fun and features a hilarious scene with her decapitated head accusing him of murder. Torm

NECA Hyper Maser Blast Godzilla 2003

I was in my local Target the other day, buying myself some new frying pans, when I strolled across the action figure section and saw that they were carrying some NECA figures, including the final 2 special Godzilla variants of 2003 and Biollante Bile Goji 89. I went ahead and picked up this Hyper Maser Blast Godzilla 2003, since I liked the interesting paint scheme and I really liked that figure.  This is the same sculpt as the previous 2003 release, the color scheme being the only difference, mostly yellow on the torso and underside of his jaw, jagged yellow lines across his body, and some blue highlights on some of his fins, as well as what appears to be tan-hued "dust" on his feet an toes. NECA's 2003 Godzilla was a fantastic figure, so when I saw this version at Target, I figured I should pick it up, just to have a different variant. He has the same great articulation, it just may need some minor heating on the knee joints to loosen them up (as well as to apply the ta
