S.H. Figuarts Ultimate Ageis/Ultraman Zero Armor option parts set


Earlier in the week I received my S.H. Figuarts Ultimate Ageis/Ultraman Zero Armor option parts set. I was busy with work and doing other reviews, but I finally got around to checking these out. They turned out to be pretty cool option parts.



Ultimate Aegis is a set of armor created by Ultraman Noa.




My initial thought was that they may be a bit of a hassle to attach to the Ultras. They ended up being fairly easily to swap out and put on them. The only issue I had was with the large piece (Final Ultimate Zero) that Ultraman Zero holds. I was having trouble getting his arm peg into the fist (it’s attached to the piece). Then I realized that I had on his forearm with his bracelet, so I swapped out the regular forearm without the bracelet and it went in easily.



For the ultimate Zero Sword, each hand piece comes with its own fists, a red (for X) and blue (for Zero). The top of the fist has a peg that attaches to the piece, and then you attach it onto the hand peg. It also seems to work for other Ultra figures as well, minus the different colored fist (most of my others have silver or black hands).


The chest pieces can also be placed on other Ultras, though they wouldn’t stick on as securely as they’re designed for Zero and X and come with extras to ensure they attach to those guys well. But for display purposes, the other Ultras can sport them (or any other 1:12 figures as well).




The chest pieces attach together, 2 separate pieces for the front and back. You have to remove the color timers for both Ultras, the back piece for X and the shoulder parts for Zero and replace them with an extra set. All of that was fairly easy, the directions were simple to follow.




These are nice additions to my Ultraman Zero and X figures. X already has his EX Gomora fist, and he also has another option parts set coming out later as well. This set was fairly inexpensive and is really nice and easy to put on.




If you own S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Zero and/or X, then I do recommend getting this set, to give them some extra weapons to do battle with. A cool little extra that will enhance your Ultra figures.

RicSan Custom Toys Kyōrū Kaiju (Titanosaurus)

My latest kaiju figure purchase is the Titanosaurus made by Ricsan Custom Toys. I own and love the Varan & Gabara, so of course I had to preorder this one when it was available. He was delivered earlier this week. This kaiju hails from the last Godzilla film of the Showa era, 1975's Terror of Mechagodzilla. The Black Hole aliens are back, rebuilding their robot in another effort to take over the planet. They enlist the help of an ostracized Earth scientist named Mafune and his daughter Katsura, who are able to control an aquatic dinosaur named Titanosaurus. They plan to use both kaiju and mecha to attack Japan. Titano was a cool monster, with his tail that opened into a fish fin, and he would use it to create whirlpools in the sea, and high winds on land. I'm hoping that S.H. Monsterarts makes one for the 50th anniversary of the film, but when I saw this Ricsan Custom version, I couldn't pass it up. S.H. MonsterArts Anguirus 1972

One of my most anticipated figure releases of 2025 was finally delivered this last week. Godzilla's trusty sidekick, S. H. MonsterArts Anguirus (based on the 1972 suit). From the early video and photo reviews I had seen, he looked to have turned out a great figure. Now that I have him in hand, he absolutely is! This Ankylosaurus is based on the suit that was introduced in 1968's Destroy All Monsters, and made subsequent appearances in Godzilla vs. Gigan (72), Godzilla vs. Megalon (73), and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (74). Anguirus was the 2nd Toho monster to ever appear on screen, dueling with the big G in 1955's Godzilla Raids Again. For the later films, he became Godzilla's buddy, helping him out in his various battles. I'm a bit surprised that it took Bandai this long to release Anguirus in the MonsterArts line, as he's one of the more popular kaiju, but better late than never.
