Jazwares Fortnite Agent's Room Agent Peely Set


While browsing at Target I came across this set. You get not only Agent Peely, but 2 of them, 2 guns, a chair and a cool diorama set. How could I pass this up?







The "gimmick" of the set is the diorama, which is a few wall pieces that clip on to resemble a library room. But if you press the button, the wheel where the middle wall spins to reveal a secret wall with a gun rack. This set only comes with 2 guns, but if you collect other Jazwares figures, you may have enough weapons to hang on all the spaces.






The Peely figures are only 4" tall. One is dressed in a white tux, the other in a black one. The guns include a Grenade Launcher and a Sniper Rifle. The little chair is a solid, hard plastic. It scales well with most 1:12 figures, even though these banana dudes are a little smaller. The entire set is simply cool and fun. Who needs 007 when you can have a banana secret agent instead?







The articulation is almost the same as the larger Legendary Series figures. His shoulders are on hinged ball joints, the elbows are single jointed (whereas the 6" figures sport double joints), ball jointed thighs, double jointed knees, and ankles that rock and pivot. There are no upper thigh or bicep swivels. His waist is on a joint, but he can only turn slightly side to side, no ab crunches. I was still able to get them into some fun, ass-kicking poses.






I've been wanting the Legendary Series Agent Peely since I first saw it announced, so when I came across this set, I had to snatch it up. This Agent's Room set is really unique and absolutely worth picking up if you're a fan of this goofy banana man. Just be wary of where you purchase it. I was lucky to find it in store at the retail price of $25. On Amazon it's $50 (?!?) and eBay prices are all over the place. The price I paid was worth this double dose of potassium.

    That is a really cool set! It definitely should have come with enough guns to fill out the wall, though. Still, I like the overall design. I only collect the 6 inch Legendary Series figures (which has its own Agent Peely figure I'm currently looking for) so we'll never see something like this in that line. Jazwares really is doing some cool things with this series and I love seeing unique stuff like this. There just aren't many action figure lines like this with vehicles, playsets, etc, out there these days.

S.H. Figuarts Father of Ultra

Last week I received the latest SHF Showa Ultra figure, the one and only Father of Ultra, who made his debut in the series Ultraman Ace. He’s the 1st of the two Ultra related August releases I had pre-ordered (the other being Ace Killer). Father of Ultra is easily recognized by the huge horns on his head. The rest of his body is the standard red and silver color scheme that the other original Ultra brothers have (different colors wouldn’t be introduced until Ultraman Tiga decades later). Bandai did a fine job in capturing his look, much more accurate than the highly stylized Ultra Act version, which made him quite muscular. For his accessories, he comes with 6 pairs of hands (fists, two sets of holding, 2 sets of flat/karate chop, and grappling). He has an extra right flat hand that shoots out his signature beam, called the Father Shot. S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Arc

With the release of Tsuburaya's new Ultra series that premiered some weeks ago, we now have a figure of the its from Bandai's S.H. Figuarts line. Upon seeing the promos for the series, I initially thought it would be rather silly and I wasn't expecting much. To my surprise, I'm really enjoying this show. I find it well written, the characters are likable, and Arc has a lot of personality. I haven't enjoyed a new Ultra series this much since Z. So I went ahead and purchased the figure of Arc. It was pretty cheap, and was delivered from AmiAmi earlier this last week. I opted for the plain figure. They also have two other versions of him wearing his armor up for pre-order. The orange Solis Armor version, which is due in October, and the blue Luna Armor, which is due in November. Anyway, Arc resembles Ultraman Orb, especially the shape of his head.
