Creepshow Monstarz Green Slime Retro figure

This latest weird creature was ordered from Entertainment Earth. It's a monster from the 1968 flick The Green Slime, a science fiction yarn about astronauts who land on an asteroid that's on a collision course with Earth in an attempt to destroy it before it hits the planet. Once they do, they head back to their space station Gamma 3, not realizing that one of their suits has a green slime living organism attached to it. When the clothes are put into the decontamination chamber, the energy causes the slime's cells to mutate and grow into a funky tentacled monster that feeds on energy, can electrocute prey with its tentacles, and can easily reproduce. Before long, a bunch of these critters are running loose on the space station, while our heroes figure out a way to stop them. The movie is very cheesy but fun, with one subplot revolving around a love triangle between 3 of the main characters. The monsters are your typical Japanese tokusatsu creations; in other words, wonderfu...

Jazwares Fortnite Legendary Series Meowscles

At the same Target trip that I picked up the MEGO Phantom Masque, I also found this guy. I had been wanting him since I saw reviews some months ago. He was finally in stock at my local store, so now he joins my collection of assorted heroes, monsters and all around weird characters. Meowscles, like all the other Jazwares Fortnite figures, comes packed with extras. He has 2 different face plates (regular smiling and closed eyed open mouth), 2 guns, 2 blades, and a crossbow that actually works. You simply press the trigger and it launches the arrow. Pretty cool. Meowscles is a buff cat in jeans, wearing boots, a belt and shoulder straps with a gun harness at each side, where his 2 guns can fit into. You can also slide his blades onto his harness at the back, though they aren't secure and may slip out depending on how you position them. Other than that, he's a cool cat. His articulation is the usual great stuff we've come to expect from Jazwares, including head on a ball joint...
