The next release from the Ultraman Taiga show is his Tri-Strium form, which is red, with a bit of blue and silver, and comes with a sword (the Tri-Blade). In this form, Taiga can utilize the strength of Titas and the speed of Fuma.
In addition to the sword, it also comes with a replacement color timer and six pairs of hands (fists, to hold sword, open, open relaxed, and 2 sets of flat ones). The right hands have a peg to switch out the Taiga spark. The sword is mostly silver on one side, and has red highlights on the other side thar are shaped in a flame. The middle red section is articulated and can spin around.
The extra Taiga hand that has his beam (the Strium-Blaster) that comes with the Tregear figure can fit on his wrist as well, so if you own Tregear, then Tri-Strium Taiga can have his signature attack.
His articulation is the same as the standard Taiga release, with ball jointed neck, shoulders, torso & waist, double jointed knees and elbows, forearms that swivel, head on a peg, hinges on the shoulders and thighs, upper thigh swivels, ankle pivots. While his shoulder pads sit over his arms, they are a soft plastic, so it doesn't impede the shoulder movement as much as you'd expect. His posability is pretty good, all the articulation you'd need to get him into action.
His lower body resembles his father Ultraman Taro, while his upper body resembles Ultraseven & Zero, with the chest and arm armor. The colored sections on the body are a vivid hue and look like blue flames. His head horns have red flame-like shapes on both sides. While most Ultramen are red, his horns, armor and bright blue color help him to stand out.
Ultraman Taiga Tri-Strium is a nice figure and he's worth getting for his look and the addition of the Tri-Blade, which is a nice accessory to have that's different from the standard beams that most Ultras come with. Tamashii will release his show comrade Titas in September, though no announcement yet for when Fuma will be released (though they have shown prototype photos of that figure). I have pre-ordered Titas as I like his bulky, standout design. There's another form that Taiga takes called Photon-Earth that's silver, gold & black, though no plans to release that one are known, at least that I'm aware of. I am satisfied with the 2 Taiga forms I own. Both are unique and well done.
