The latest monster action figure that I received was the Ricsan Custom Toys Behemoth. It's a paleosaurus dinosaur creature with multiple points of articulation.
This figure is based on the monster from the 1959 film The Giant Behemoth, about an aquatic dinosaur that emits an electric pulse that's saturated with radiation. He ends up attacking London as scientists try to figure out a way to destroy it. It's a decent movie with a cool monster and his radioactive attacks. It's similar to The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms (of which Ricsan Custom Toys has also produced a figure of).
The monster resembles a brontosaurus, with four legs, a thick body, and a long neck with bumps along the back of his head, all the way down his tail. The figure is painted a dark green, with lighter highlights along the underside of his torso and belly. The eyes are white with red irises and black pupils. The inside of the mouth is painted pink, with his teeth and nails a dull bone white. There is a small smear of black paint on the left side of his torso. The accessories included with the figure are four 3D printed vehicles. Three are tanks and one is a maser cannon. These are all unpainted. The figure is sculpted nicely, capturing in detail a lot of reptilian skin patterns throughout its body. The figure is pretty accurate to his screen counterpart. Utilizing string joints, Behemoth contains 26 points of articulation, including his jaw, many segments of the neck, torso, legs and tail. He's able to stand on his hind legs and twist his neck around in many directions.
Ricsan Custom Toys Behemoth is another really good release from this independent toy maker. He looks great, moves well, and being in the 1:12 scale, he fits well with the rest of my kaiju and Ultra action figures. I'm happy to own an articulated representation of this radioactive menace. You can check out Ricsan's stuff on Instagram, where there will be a link to the official web page for ordering his figures. I'm looking forward to what other movie monsters he does next.
